PILOT STATION
Located at 11 deg 14'44"N 74 deg 13'58" W. Pilot service is compulsory, and even though vessels load at anchorage, correct anchorage positioning of vessel at seabouys is done in coordination between Prodeco and attending pilot.

ANCHORAGE POSITIONS
Two mooring bouys have been placed recently at 1.5 and 2.5 miles respectively from the shore loading facility, where vessels are moored with assistance of prodeco Tugboat and private launch. There is no LOA/BEAM/HEIGHT restrictions. Maximum sailing draft is set at 18 meters S.W.

LOADING OPERATIONS
Loading takes place by means of three floating cranes placed normally on starboard side of the vessel, depending on weather conditions. Floating cranes are 37 meters loa X 17 meters beam each, with a maximum airdraft of 19 meters; and have a nominal loading rate of 7,500 mt per day each crane on a shinc basis. Each crane is equipped with a grab of 10 cubic yards.

Coal loaded ashore into barges, is taken to the anchorage with assistance of a tugboat, Prodeco owns 7 barges, five of them of 1,200 mt and two of 2,500 mt capacity each. Barges are loaded thru a conveyor belt capable of loading 2,000 mt per hour.

STOCKYARD
There is enough capacity to stockile about 300,000 mt of coal on Prodeco's yards.

SERVICES AVAILABLE
No Bunkers or fresh water are available at Purto Prodeco for the time beign, thus vessels scheduled to call Puerto Prodeco are strongly suggested to replenish bunker and fresh water at their departing port.

No provisions are available. No service is provided by Prodeco, therefore launch service to/from vessel must be arranged thru the agent as well as any other service needed.

ARRIVAL MESSAGE
A 72 hours message must be sent by masters prior arrival at Prodeco, filling out all requested information pertinent to the vessel. Message is to be sent to agents to be passed on to Prodeco; Naves will provide its text right after nomination.
